Women don't get punched in the face at El-Sayed or Talarico rallies

Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for U.S. Senate in Michigan, is a doctor, public health expert, and good man with pure values who gets asked questions about if he supports the Muslim Brotherhood because he uses his religious freedom afforded by the Constitution to practice his Islamic faith, all because Republican Christian nationalists spread fear and hate and say others should not be trusted. It is reminiscent of when JFK was running for president and people questioned if he would take orders directly from the Pope or have a dual allegiance to the Vatican instead of the United States.
Meanwhile, James Talarico, who is running for U.S. Senate in Texas, is a former public school teacher and Presbyterian seminarian who gets his manhood questioned and gets mocked for being kind by those same Republican Christian nationalists. He is a good man with pure values, a former teacher who was encouraged by a student to run because of his ethics and morals. He has the kind of ethics and morals that many liberals have every right to question when looking at what Republican Christian nationalists claim to stand for, yet they support a man like Donald Trump, a corrupt, philandering, disrespectful narcissist. It finally seems as if voters might not be falling for that hypocrisy anymore.
I just hope that many on the left can stop falling for the trap and blaming innocent Americans who happen to be Jewish for a conflict happening thousands of miles away by the hands of a foreign government that Jewish people living in America have nothing to do with. Netanyahu is to blame for the genocide, not the Jewish college student that lives in the dorm room next to you. I don't care what side you're on, but if you hate somebody for what they believe, who they love, or what they are described as in general, well... you might be a bigot (said in Jeff Foxworthy's voice).
In this election, we need a referendum on Trump and the inactive Republican-led Congress that has allowed him to strip away many parts that protect our democracy, stomping on our traditions and literally ripping off taxpayers for billions of dollars. Elections are won by building big coalitions of people with different views, different faiths, and different values, and single issue voters don't show up to vote. I'm a Democrat, but I definitely believe that people should vote for and support who they would like. I just hope it's because of the policies that the candidates are driven towards and not what they are, who they worship, or who they love.
Let's not let the media convince us that somebody who might be different than us is someone that we should fear or blame for something that they have nothing to do with. This isn't a both sides argument in this specific election; this is just in general.
One thing I can say about both James Talarico and Abdul El-Sayed is that at their events, unlike Trump rallies, women don't get punched in the face for wearing a t-shirt that says "Release the Epstein Files." It seems like Trump supporters now apparently support protecting pedophiles just because their daddy said so and because he is all up in it.
